For many of us with visual impairment, navigating daily life—and preparing for employment or higher studies—comes with challenges that often go unspoken. Whether it’s writing a resume, using a computer with assistive tech, or simply building the confidence to speak up in a group—having the right support makes all the difference.

At Sarthak Educational Trust, we understand that journey. That’s why we’re offering a 15-day training program specifically designed for persons with visual impairment or low vision. It’s not just a class—it's a space where we learn together, grow together, and support one another.

🔎 What This Program Offers

This is a free-of-cost bridge course focused on three key areas that many of us seek to strengthen:

i. Functional English

• Everyday communication in English
• Resume and application writing
• Interview conversations and professional email writing

ii. Computer Skills with Accessibility

• Using screen readers like NVDA and JAWS
• Basics of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Browsing the internet safely, using job search platforms and LinkedIn

iii. Soft Skills & Practical Knowledge

• Grooming and workplace conduct
• Time management, confidence building, and handling feedback
• Awareness about financial literacy, digital security, and accessibility

 

🧭 How the Training Works

• Delivered by experienced trainers who are sensitive to the needs of VI learners
• Interactive sessions including group discussions and mock interviews
• Hands-on practice using assistive technologies
• Materials shared in accessible formats and screen-reader-friendly documents

You’ll receive guidance at every step—not just in learning skills, but also in applying them in everyday and work-related situations.

 

🧒 Who Can Join?

This training is suitable if:

• You’re 18–35 years old and are visually impaired or low vision
• You’ve completed at least Class 10 (preferably)
• You’re looking to enhance your confidence, digital literacy, and English skills

The program is available in multiple cities through Sarthak Centres, and can also be accessed online, depending on your location and preference. Sessions are designed to be interactive, inclusive, and friendly to screen readers.
